AJWS staff identifies a need for dedicated DEIRJ efforts at the organization, and our work begins
2018
AJWS’s first staff-led DEIRJ working group is created
2019
We begin foundational DEIRJ trainings and launch an audit to identify AJWS’s DEIRJ needs
2020
Our working group crafts a multi-year DEIRJ roadmap to guide our work, AJWS hires its first Director of DEIRJ, and the AJWS Board of Trustees starts the DEIRJ Committee
2021
DEIRJ subgroups are created to partner with consultants, build and lead trainings, outline an organizational learning strategy, develop language guidelines, support marginalized staff, and more

AJWS is named in Mogul’s list of top 100 international DEIB practitioners
